Traditional Violin Method or The Suzuki Method, violin lesson with any beginner (adult or kid) always starts with getting to know the parts of the violin. I believe it’s just the same as meeting a new person, a new friend with whom you plan to spend a lot of quality time with in the future. First, you get their name, then you assess them physically, how they look, how you feel about them/it (in the case of the violin), and eventually, you decide to get used to them - their unique quirks, habits, how best to handle them or how best to deal with them, and how to bring out the best - and even the worst in them.Â
With this in mind, I think I’d like to start a series of blog posts on the important parts of the violin. These are not meant to be thoroughly, instructionally or even technically-loaded, just a simple and brief general overview on their description and their purpose/s to the overall sound production of the instrument.
Do keep posted for my next entries…Â
